Wi-Fi Not Included

So, my parents are both from Croatia. They got married over the phone – my dad was already in Canada, and my mom lived in this tiny house that’s in the middle of nowhere. She packed her bags, flew across the ocean, and nobody from my family went back to visit until I did in 2016. The house just sat empty there this whole time. I went inside – there was still a meat tenderizer hanging on the wall of the kitchen. I had heard about this place my entire life and being able to finally visit it has to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I would go back in a heartbeat. As for the hydro poles, I have no idea where they go. There’s nothing for miles.
