I used to do a lot of product photography, but now everyone just has their own phone that they use. That’s fine – I mean, phones are amazing – but there’s an art to getting that nice white background while also getting deep blacks with good colour saturation, and there’s still a lot of things that phones can’t do that cameras (and a professional photographer) can.

I don’t do boring; I like to pick a few angles in order to transform the ordinary into extraordinary. I usually end up shooting a half-dozen angles or so, and the first ones are usually the best, but sometimes you get rewarded for sticking around and shooting more. New angles create new ways of seeing.
